The fall of conservatism.

This election will mark the beginning of the end for conservatism. Look at the signs:

1.) A Country that looks to and depends on the federal government rather than the state and local governments.
2.) A societal mind-set that is relativistic.
3.) An economy that is moving toward socialism.
4.) An elite group (wealthy & educated, communicating how they "think it should be") ruling the working class (in debt, under educated, frustrated that "it isn't how it should be.")

I am preparing myself to be in the minority. I'm also realizing that "the party" Conservatives identify the most with (the Republicans) are out of touch. I am an island.

We need a new type of conservative. One that is attractive to Post-Moderns and truly places the "power" with the working class. it emphasizes local and state government - bringing the government closer to the people of the town and county. It is a party that preaches you get what you earn rather than you get what the government gives you. It allows people to make decisions for themselves and places the responsibility of those choices on themselves. It is an idea that realizes there are those trapped by circumstances and seeks to help them through individual effort rather than writing a blank check or passing the buck to to someone else.

If you read this and you like what you see, think about it and comment. I think it is time for a new movement.

  1. I couldn't agree more!!! You've hit the nail on the head!

Sign me up for the new party that represents these positions! Maybe we should start it!
